In case you’d like to transfer a domain from one registrar to another, you will need a unique transfer code, which may be referred to by various names – an EPP authentication code, an AuthInfo code, a domain password, etc. All these names refer to one and the same thing – a code that the domain registrant receives from the current domain name registrar and provides to the new one at the time of the order. Without an authentic code, a domain name transfer procedure cannot be initiated and this is one of the safety mechanisms against unapproved transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even greater security, the code includes digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you wish to transfer one of your domain names, you have to provide the new registrar company with the correct code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting
In case you have a shared hosting, you have registered a domain with our company and you would like to transfer it, you can obtain its EPP transfer code with less than several mouse clicks. When you sign into your Hepsia Control Panel and go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all the domains that you’ve registered through our company shown in alphabetical order. To the right of each domain name, you will see a small EPP icon for all generic and country-code TLD extensions that need an EPP code in order to be transferred between registrars. Clicking the icon will email the code to the domain name registrant’s email right away. In the same section you can also see and eventually change the email, if the one there is not valid any longer.
EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can easily obtain the transfer code for any domain name registered under a semi-dedicated server account if you decide to transfer it away. This can be accomplished through the same Control Panel, via which you administer your account, so you will not have to sign in and out of different systems. All you will need to do is visit the Control Panel’s domain management section and click the EPP button for the domain that you want to transfer, as long as its extension supports transfers with a code. Our system sends all codes automatically to the domain name registrant’s email listed in the domain’s WHOIS record, so in case the address that is currently listed is obsolete, you can update it with several clicks of the mouse without having to leave the Control Panel’s domain management section.
