A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you are running a business, for instance. Since you may start receiving junk messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without effort if you have a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet really easy to use, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve got will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one you will find a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have another one with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have set up with your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t need the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
